Hi everyone and welcome to week 18 of Christmas inspiration with Art with Heart Stampin'Up Team Australia.  Todays card is a nice and easy one with added layers for interest.  The card base is Basic Black, the 3 mats are from the Merry Little Christmas DSP and a oval left over from Around the world.  The Christmas tree is from Santas Sleigh stamp and die set, Noel sentiment is from the Christmas Pines stamp set using Cherry Cobbler ink, snowflake is from Seasonal Layers Thinlets.   The red ribbon is Cherry Cobbler double stitched ribbon, some Pearl Basic Jewels a Gold Faceted Gem on top of the tree.  I used clear Wink of Stella on the sentiment.
And a pic of the inside.

Art with Heart Team Blog Hop - September fancy fold card 2017

Welcome to another Art with Heart Team blog hop where we are focusing on fancy folds. You will find loads of creative inspiration tonight, showcasing different folding techniques and projects. Don't be afraid of trying some Fancy Fold cards; they may look intimidating, but in fact, they are not that difficult to create.
You have come from the lovely  Ros Davidson Hops are full circles, so you can start hopping here and then at the end of each post is a link to the next one.  There is also a list of participants at the end in case of any broken lines.
Now let's get started! sit back grab a cuppa and enjoy some gorgeous fancy fold ideas.
Today I am showcasing 2 different Diamond Fold cards both of them I found on utube.  The first card the instructions I followed were from Creations with Christine and the second card instructions were from Debbie Henderson, both these ladies were very easy to follow.
For the card base I used Chocolate Chip, the stamp & die set is the Coffee Cafe bundle, I used Coffee Break DSP for all the mats and fussy cut the coffee pots, the rest of the embellishments I stamped and used the dies, I used Cherry Cobbler and Garden Green Ink Pads.  You will find as I did that they don't really sit flat because of all the folds but they are fun to make so I tied 1/8 Old Olive ribbon and wrapped it around twice and you can just slide it on and off. I also used Clear Wink of stella.  Not a hard card to make and does not take that much time so I hope you will give it a try.

A picture of the card opened up, its a bit tricky trying to get a photo without holding it.
I put some whisper white on the back so you can write your greeting.
Now for my second Diamond fold card, must say I really liked how this one turned out, it is a different diamond fold and a little bigger in size than my first card.  Because of all the folds you use DSP as your base 11' x 11' rather than card stock.  I used the Delightful Daisy DSP, Calypso Coral for the first mat, Wisteria Wonder for the second mat and Whisper White, the ink colours are Crumb Cake, stamped of once, Wisteria Wonder and Calypso Coral.  The stamp set I used is Wood Words stamp set an the flowers are from the Flower Shop stamp set and used the Pansy Punch, I use flower shop on a lot of my projects.   I stamped the flowers in Calypso Coral and Wisteria Wonder, I used 2 flowers for each colour, the first flower I curled up and the second one I cut each petal in half and folded them in toward the centre thats how I got them to curl up, I put a Clear Faceted Gems.  For the centre of the card I used Watercolour pencils which gives the flowers a nice soft look and wrapped 1/8 Calypso Coral ribbon around it which also slides on and off to keep it flatter.
This pic is with the ribbon taken off and the front flap lifted to the top, then each side opens out to the sides.
This is the card opened up and where you would write your greeting.

Here is a picture of the 2 cards together.

The Heart of Christmas - Handmade Christmas Inspiration 2017 - Week 17

Hi everyone and welcome to week 17 of Christmas inspiration with Art with Heart Stampin'Up Team Australia.  For todays card base I used Marina Mist, for the first mat I used Champagne Foil Sheet (mmm doesn't seem to show up in the picture, but its there lol) and once again I used vellum and embossed it using the Winter Wonder Textured Embossing Folder, I adhered that to the top of the card using Tear Tape and covered that with the Quilted Christmas Ribbon (one of my favs, I always go to this one).  For the mittens I used the 2nd smallest Stitched Oval and cut out 2 mittens from the Red Glimmer Paper and 1 from Dazzling Diamonds which I cut some of at each end and adhered them with some glue dots and a little tombo, I cut 2 pieces of Dazzling Diamond from the smallest Stitched Framelit for the thumbs again using some glue dots and a little tombo to glue behind the mitten.  For the cuffs I used the second smallest Scalloped Square from the Quilted Christmas DSP folded that in half and trimmed it a bit smaller, to finish the mittens off I cut 2 small snowflakes from Dazzling Diamonds using The Seasonal Layer Thinlets (this set is so versatile one I use for all seasons)  For the front sentiment and inside of the card I used the Christmas Pines Stamp Set using Marina Mist Ink.  I tied the mittens together using the Red mini Tinsel Trim.
And a pic of the inside.
Hope you enjoyed this weeks card.  To see more beautiful inspiration from our very talented ladies you can view all our participants on the lovely Claire Daly’s blog .  Have a great week and will see you again next week with some more great cards.

The Heart of Christmas - Handmade Christmas Inspiration 2017 - Week 16

Hi everyone and welcome to week 16 of Christmas inspiration with Art with Heart Stampin'Up Team Australia. Today I decided to make another of my favourite cards and thats the shaker card.  My card base is Emerald Envy card stock.  I used the Lots of Labels Framelits for my cut out using no's 5 & 6, then cut out the frame using Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer paper.  Using the Big Shot I used the Holly Textured Impression Embossing Folder.  I made the snowman using the 1 inch circle punch and the 3/4 inch circle punch, for his arms I used the branch from the Tree Builder Punch, his nose is from Pumpkin Pie and his hat I free hand cut from black card stock.  The little deer are from the Carols of Christmas. The background paper is from the Naturally Eclectic DSP. Snow ground cover is dazzling diamonds glimmer paper. The sentiment is from Oh what Fun stamp set using Real Red ink pad and sponged in Emerald Envy, I used the Holly Berry punch for the leaves and berries in each corner, the berries are punched from the Red Glimmer paper.

And a peek on the inside.
Hope you enjoyed this weeks card.  To see more beautiful inspiration from our very talented ladies you can view all our participants on the lovely  Tina Gillespie blog.  Have a great week and will see you again next week with some more great cards.
