CHRISTMAS MAGIC CARD

Hi everyone, I am loving all the gorgeous Christmas Stamps in the Holiday Catalogue, I have nearly the whole collection, has anyone else built up their collection?  I really enjoy colouring in and could do it for hours I find it very relaxing, if you have the right tools it's easy, just a little practice with shading and in no time you will be shading away.  I also really love the Cable Knit Embossing folder, it is my absolute favourite and go to I use it all the time, the deep texture is the best, a tip is to cut your cardstock to the size you want first otherwise it will shred if you try to trim it after embossing. So how I built this card is as follows, I used Real Red for the card base and Night of Navy for the textured embossed mat (both standard card & mat size) I used the Paisley Framelits Die for the pinecones, Bow and leaves, this is a must have set it is so versatile, I used Wild Wasabe for the leaves, night of Navy for the pinecone backing and red Glimmer Paper for the top of pinecone and Bow.  For the trees I used another favourite stamp set of mine which I use a lot called Lovely as a Tree, then the Train from Christmas Magic Stamp set.  I used a large oval frame to cut out of Whisper white, for the background I embossed white stars then using a sponge dauber I used Marina Mist and Tempting Turquoise, I also embossed the train, makes it easier for me to use my markers that way I know it won't run.  The train can be a bit tricky to know where to colour so all I did was use the front cover of the stamp set as a guide, made it a lot easier that way.  See you back here soon, as always I will post the links to any of the products you might need to make this card.
